On the other hand, this is why people should run for some of these very local offices. Just get your friends and family to vote and you've got a good chance. With only 8-10 percent of those eligible to vote participating, the odds are good.

But when nationally discussed special election for the House of Representatives gets the most with only 44% of eligible voters participating? SAD!

Everyone should make a pledge to vote in every single election, no matter how small or local, and dammit, if you don't vote in 2018, don't even bother to come here. And I'm talking to you, mostly, younger people: millennials still have the lowest voter turnout of any group. Only about 50% voted in the presidential election last year, and only about a third in the 2014 midterms.

Check out this graph of voter turnout by age for recent years till 2014. There's a huge difference between those between 18-29 and those over 60. It's especially pronounced in midterm elections (where in 2014, only about 15% of millennials voted):

The failure of Democrats to vote in MIDTERMS and PRIMARIES has given us this mess.
Most Democrats only vote for Presidents every 4 years, leaving the Senate and House to the Republicans.
Now we are fighting against voter restrictions, fake news, Russian trolls, Fox News, and countless billions of funding (virtually unlimited).

The solution is voting, (while we still can).
This is a low turnout year so winning primaries and special elections are much easier.

Consider the difference that just 5 months makes.

Look at what happened in Kansas CD-4 April 11.
18% Turnout, so 80% of registered voters stayed home.
Nov 2016 81,000 Democrats voted in KS-04.
April 2017 55,000 Democrats voted in KS-04.
Almost but 64,000 would have won.

The same thing happened in Georgia CD-6 April 18.
44% Turnout, so over half of all registered voters stayed home.
Nov 2016 125,000 Democrats voted in GA-06.
April 2017 94,000 Democrats voted in GA-06.
Not enough 97,000 votes would have won. So close.

So the lesson is: If you voted in 2016, DO IT AGAIN in 2017!

There are elections every week somewhere in America.
1) Go to vote411.org
2) Find out when you can vote next.
3) Get your friends registered.

If every Democrat that voted in 2016, did it again in 2017 for EVERY local election, we would take EVERY seat in every State.
The numbers are there, will the Democrats be?
