And they all have one thing in common. They are emotional, and can't follow logic and reason. There is no use n engaging them. They will only turn on Trump when trump screws them.

Retired blue collar worker. Kindest man you ever met and socially liberal but lives in the past. Thinks Trump can recreate the manufacturing sector such that people can support a family with a high school degree.

Are for one reason only - abortion. They are single issue voters who base their vote on only one thing. Sadly there are many millions of them. If the country goes totally to hell and we get into WWIII will they change their tune about supporting a "pro-lifer" no matter what?

For the most part, they are not evil people. They are "salt of the earth" types who would help out a neighbor in need. And when you talk to them, they seem surprisingly coherent.

Why they fall for the lies and propaganda makes no sense to me. Guns is a big issue -- they often believe the dems are coming for their guns. They love their "redneck" way of life and see no reason to consider enlightenment (by our standards).

One fuckhead in particular lives about a block from me and has displayed a "Killary for Prison" sign on his porch since about June of last year.

The average income in my town is around $24K, but these stupid fuckers voted for Trump because he represents their interests and he understands the plight of the common man.

They are Christian by an overwhelming majority, and they never miss a chance to shit on the impoverished or the disadvantaged. They openly laugh at people dying of opioid overdoses, and they volunteer to hunt down any refugees that make it here from Syria or anywhere else. They live on social security, disability and union pensions, and they hate with a passion anyone whom they perceive not to be working hard enough.

Fuck them. Every last one of them.

My brother has always been about money and taxes. He's an MD/PhD and I tried appealing to his reason/intellect/science back in 2004 and got nowhere.
His wife is greedy. Phony Christian. Sickly sweet and would stab you in the back for "things" in a New York minute. Probably also a closet racist.

My husband's family are just racists. Pure racists. Hated Obama with a passion. Went all the way to China to adopt a baby girl, because, y'know, a baby African-American girl from Georgia where they live just wouldn't be good enough for them. More phony Christians. They've been followers of Rush Limbaugh for years and years. Favorite TV show of the women? Duck Dynasty.

One woman I knew casually--but I had gone to her father's funeral here in NC where he lived (she lived in NJ)just to provide moral support--actually bragged on fb about being proud of being called a deplorable. I dropped her after that. More racism--I suspect--and no education beyond high school married to an older, racist husband. They have outspent their income level acquiring cars and boats. Trumpster wannabees.

I have dropped any number of 'friends' from my past where I grew up when they showed signs of supporting Trump.

They read Breitbart, watch Fox News, and they constantly attack public education as being too liberal, even with my mom around, who has spent most of her life in the public education system. I'm fine hanging around them as long as politics aren't brought up. If they are, I almost immediately try to change subjects.

1 argued with me that Obama was elected in 2004 so the recession was his fault, began blubbering when I proved it was 2009 when he was elected. I cut off all communication with the 5 because all the news the get is from Faux News, highly filtered if not outright lies. It is useless to speak to them and have to prove they are wrong every friggin' time. I had to block 2 of their telephone numbers so they are dead to me now.

One is the Harley Owner's Group I ride with and the other is a military alumni group.

Both are less Trump supporters and more rabid anti-Hillary.

The military group group is full of people celebrating 100 days of Hillary NOT being President.

Our nominee had the ability to generate a lot of hatred.
