Shrodinger’s Romney

JOSH MARSHALL JULY 4, 2012, 12:28 PM

Coming off the massive success finally discovering evidence of the existence of the Higgs-Boson particle, CERN has announced plans to bombard subatomic particles together at a speed close enough to the speed of light to isolate Mitt Romney’s actual underlying position on whether or not the health care mandate is a tax.

Near perfect analogy. But I am somewhat uncertain about that. It may or may not be a perfect analogy. The superposition of analogy states is too fuzzy. Better wait for nature to take its course when the states can decohere with no specific intention.

How can you be sure about anything about Rmoney?

Heisenberg may have been here.

A Higgs boson walks into a church . . . the priest says, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, we don't allow YOUR kind in here!"

The Higgs boson says, "Really? But how can you have mass without me?"

I was set to let loose a "He holds multiples policy positions depending on whether he's being observed" styled joke, then realized that Mitt isn't limited by being observed. He doesn't give a damn about physics! It's a tax, it's not a tax, voters are watching, they're not watching, he's pro life, he's profiting from abortion, he's campaigning, no he's not - none of it matters!

Schrödinger's Mitt exists in a CONSTANT, intentional state of policy shift. He is impossible to describe, because he does not wish to be described. Since he only exists theoretically, he has no true mass.

In fact, he removes mass from those with whom he comes in contact, without ever gaining any mass of his own. I think that's why people people often refer to him as the "Governor of Former Mass."

WAIT. OMG!

Call CERN! Mitt Romney...is the god-less particle!
