Republicans' Vicious and Immoral Health Care Bill Is Just Part of a Sinister Long Game

NEWS & POLITICS
Republicans' Vicious and Immoral Health Care Bill Is Just Part of a Sinister Long Game

The GOP is employing a strategy developed by Machiavelli and perfected by Goebbels.
By Thom Hartmann / AlterNet May 5, 2017

REPUBLICANS WHOLE INTENT IS TO SAVE THE 1%ers THE CAPITAL GAINS TAX INCREASE UNDER OBAMA.

The Plan-
1- the Goebbles BIG LIE.
2- Complain when the Senate 'waters it down' a bit." Play the 'victim.'
3- in 2018 Attack every democrat for 'obstructing the great republican plan

The proof that this strategy could work in this case is that it’s already being used – with success – to obscure the true reason Republicans are trying so hard to “repeal and replace” Obamacare.
The only hope for Democrats to disrupt this process is to challenge the Big Lie and call it exactly that. The message needs to be simple (“It’s a Big Lie – it’s really about cutting taxes on billionaires!”), repeated over and over again, and amplified by every media available, as most of the corporate TV media won’t report on this in any honest way.

The entire agenda of the GOP has been, since the Reagan revolution (and, arguably, since the election of Harding, with the exception of Eisenhower), to exclusively serve the interests of the top 1 percent, while bringing along the rubes with “god, gays, and guns.” And Democrats, while tacking toward the interest of the working class, need to point that out at every opportunity.

Trumpcare – The Big Lie” could be turned into the political equivalent of a bumper sticker and put everywhere. And the lies from the Rose Garden need to be challenged now, tomorrow, and every single day for the next 2 years by every elected Democrat in America by pointing out the reality of what’s happening.

The GOP will kill off their own members before they kill off the Democrats.

Our Party is young, healthier and more numerous than the Republicans.
So all we have to do is bury them and replace them.

Just sayin'

There is a lot of energy out there now that seems to be growing.

Just that sometimes, in my later part of chronological life, I sometimes am not as confident as I might be.

who are, generally, not concerned about chronic illness. They see the ER as an option for health insurance.

They didn't want to pay any stinking mandate.

And those who had crappy, cover nothing insurance saw premiums go up when the ACA said no more selling crappy, cover nothing insurance.

This is the new republican base. This is the voting block that repubs need to offset their aging populace.

This bill was to appeal to them as much as any other special interest.

Remember: Repubs don't govern, they run for re-election.

he didn't develop this strategy, he merely pointed out that it was one put to use by the powerful or one that has been considered.

Net worth $100M or more benefit from these tax cuts.

Merely rich people, who make $100k or more, lose as much when government is destroyed as they gain from tax giveaways. So they break even.

Only the 0.01% - GOP donors like the Koches - really benefit from the big tax giveaways.

Interesting how the once 1% became the .1% and now has become the .01%.

Sort of like the interest paid on a savings account.

The difference between the 1% and the 0.01% is big politically.
Because the GOP has done a good job persuading the 1% (really, persuading the top 10%, starting at household net worth ~$1M including houses and retirement) that they will benefit from tax cuts. But really only the 0.01% make out big from tax cuts. The 0.01% get a huge tax cut that more than balances out the loss in services they would see.

That's exactly what they do. This vicious monstrosity is designed to kill as many people as possible for the sake of lining the pockets of those with the most.

TRUTH is the enemy of the State...

Combat the big lie with the big TRUTH!!!
They will keep repeating the big lie over and over. Then when you tell the truth they will attack your facts..... over and over with their fake facts. When that fails to work they will start to attack YOU over and over again.... till they say "what ever" and you know you have won...
KEEP TELLING THE TRUTH!
