We all want this story to be true, and the more passionately we want it, the more sure we should be of the story's veracity before we begin celebrating.

A surprising number of DUers are very eager to take this story at face value, while those who are urging patience are being criticized for it.

This shit happens every administration, and people lap it up when it does because they want to believe the lies of indictments.

It's all bullshit.

The rightwing nuts spread the same shit. Obama was going to be indicted any day and there were always multiple "sources" for the fraud indictments because he "was born in Kenya and perpetrated a fraud on the American people".

And Clinton had "sealed indictments for murder."

And Bush II had "sealed indictments for war crimes" and "sealed indictments for espionage over Plame."

It's ALWAYS BULLSHIT!!!!

Doesn't sound at all the same to me. There is something seriously wrong going on and this false equivalency stuff is right out of Putins playbook.

He's the bastion of courage who did Trump's bidding when Sally Yates wouldn't. He also was promoted by Jeff Sessions two weeks ago to take Mary McCord's job, while being allowed to remain as US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Yet folks here believe he's honcho'd an indictment of Trump.

Right.
