As Russia Scandal Blows Up, Trump Tantrums And Threatens To Fire Nearly His Entire White House
By Jason Easley on Sun, May 14th, 2017 at 10:49 am
Donald Trump is mad because he is failing as president, and he is considering firing his Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, chief strategist Steve Bannon, White House counsel Don McGahn and press secretary Sean Spicer. Trump is also angry at his own cabinet.
Axios reported
At the urging of longtime friends and outside advisers, most of whom he consults after dark, President Trump is considering a huge reboot that could take out everyone from Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Steve Bannon, to counsel Don McGahn and press secretary Sean Spicer, White House sources tell me.
Trump is also irritated with several Cabinet members, the sources said.
Hes frustrated, and angry at everyone, said one of the confidants.
Trump is also angry at his own cabinet because he thinks his cabinet secretaries are tooting their own horns too much and not praising him enough. Trump is mad at Jeff Sessions for stepping on son in law Jared Kushners toes on criminal justice reform. He blames HHS Secretary Tom Price for the slow pace of the health care bill, and Commerce Secretary Ross for taking victory laps.
The only thing dumber than firing the FBI Director who is investigating his campaign for potential treason would be for Trump to fire his senior White House staff, many of whom know things about the Trump campaign and Russia.

(3,335 posts)of incompetent lackeys to surround himself with. Probably all he could find who would take a loyalty oath, to him. I think anyone worth a grain of salt would have run and high tailed it out of there the first time he mentioned it. Not surprised that's all he could find when he's lived in a bubble his entire adult life and thinks that he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I just hope the end will come quickly and be definitive, so the nation can put this bad chapter behind us quickly and move forward. Our nation now knows what a scoundrel and a blowhard he is and I don't think the masses will be fooled so easily a second time since they know what one looks like now.

(62,444 posts)He has no idea what it is to run an organization that is not all about plastering "TRUMP" on everything in sight.
The cabinet members don't understand that even if they accomplish something, they have to credit him for it, and make it clear that it was all his idea or whatever.
These are the kind of people who fire people for "doing what you told me to do".

(25,894 posts)but if he starts doing that he'll be hard pressed to find anyone willing to be considered for the post. Or he'll nominate people so much less qualified than even the ones he currently has that at some point even the Republican Senate will revolt.
