When I see pictures of President Obama, it brings tears to my eyes

He is such a wonderful man. He is the American dream.
And his family - like they are off a Frank Capra movie set.

Mitt Romney makes me cry also. Do I need to explain why?

But I agree about the Obamas. I want them to adopt me, and I'm older than all of them.

If being in the pocket of corporate interests and continuing Bush terrorism policies is your American dream so be it. I will vote for him because he is better than the alternative but neither candidate or party represent us.

but he is so much better then people give him credit for. Even with what I see as faults and they are personal (BP oil spill), I can overlook them because he is MY leader and I am proud of him and his family.

All the procedures he is following were given to him by the BFEE, yet you are making a mistake in assuming that a certain political group will make radical changes to the system. The government as an entity does not ever give up any power given to them by Congress, the SCOTUS or former executive orders.

It just does not work that way.

I will vote for him, but I think the hero worship is kind of silly. I am not foolish enough to throw my vote away on some third party candidate and see Romney the way W. "won" in 2000, but I am not going to tow the party line and be a lemming for anyone. I will support Obama and will be excited if he wins but I still think for myself.

the majority here do NOT worship Barak Obama, you can look around and see that. I would say a small, small number of people do...perhaps might. The thing is...they have been without hope for so long, I can understand their idolizing of the POTUS.

When you eat shit sandwiches for 8 years and then someone offers you real food...it is mana from Heaven.

I did not say he was a terrorist. I simply stated that I disagree with him on a lot of things. It is called thinking for ones self.

By continuing Bush terrorism policies I mean that he is continuing policies that Bush used to combat terrorism he rightfully criticized as a candidate. I would never refer to a sitting president as a terrorist regardless of party.

it shines through him. He is human, not perfect. But extremely likable. He has a heart.

Babies know, I trust that. I love pictures of Babies with President Obama. They always reach out to him...reaching.

And the woman yesterday, she approached him, and he responded. Could you imagine Romney ever doing that?

Being likable and warm is wonderful but I am also interested in policy decisions and positions on issues. Why did he wait until an election year to come out in support of marriage equality? Where was he when Wisconsin needed him? Why doesn't healthcare include a public option instead of a hand out to insurance corporations? Why is the USDA and FDA still pushing bad food and prescription drugs on us?

These are crucial issues.

I intend to vote for him and pray that he wins but I tend to think with my head more than my heart.

I have really been careful with my words and will continue to do so, but I think some of us have forgotten what being engaged in the political process is all about. We are duty bound as the electorate to hold our politicians accountable. This is especially important when someone from our movement is in office.

I really don't care if a baby reaches for him. Baby's also reach for cigarette lighters and pill bottles if they can. This doesn't make lighters or pill bottles anything other than what they are.

I want to see our president promoting our vision of America and working to enact this vision. I want him to be principled at all times, not just in a political season.

I fully support the president. I think he has a wonderful story and can change this country forever if he will just take up the mantle and march it forward. He is capable of so much more.

If thinking for myself makes me a mole in your eyes so be it. I will vote and help the cause in any way I can but I will never be a part of this creepy hero worship thing.
