Reporter-beater Gianforte 'apologizes' during acceptance speech

http://www.krtv.com/story/35522935/gianforte-win-montanas-congressional-election-with-relative-ease

(snip)

Gianforte apologized personally to Jacobs and the Fox News crew that saw the incident and said he was “sorry to each one of you, that we had to go through this.”

“That’s not the person I am and it’s not the way I’ll lead in this state,” he continued. “Rest assured, our work is just beginning, but it does begin with me taking responsibility for my actions.”

Gallatin County authorities cited Gianforte for misdemeanor assault Wednesday night and he’s scheduled to appear in county Justice Court by June 7.

I say keep poking that bear, but use a long stick. Someone with that much anger should be interesting to watch and dig into their background.

Congrats, Montana. You got yourself another rich racist angry amoral white boy who made his fortune in California and could not care less about you. I am from Kansas. I know the feeling well.

Actions speak louder than words.
While most votes had already been cast before this temper driven violence occurred, the fact that there were that many votes for this ugly souled man anyway is a testament to how far the enabling of thugs has grown.

And for some unknown reason his first reaction, in a professional setting, was to beat a guy up for asking a question.

No way buddy! You are exactly this kind of punk and you always will be.

Yeah, poor Gianforte is the real victim here. How dare that reporter fling himself in between Gianforte's hands, pull both of them down to the ground, get in the way of Gianforte's fists, and break his own glasses?

that would be the part with a working brain, is in awe of your callous stupidity in electing this violent thug to represent you. May all your chickens come home to roost in the future and may I suggest you be very careful in any questions you may want to ask your newly elected assaulter lest you too be slammed to the ground.

A guy assaults someone in public, it's caught on tape, and he still gets elected to Congress--on the same day our s0-called President shoves around the Prime Minister of Montenegro AND picks handshake fights with other world leaders. And, people willingly voted for him after hearing him brag about how he loves to sexually assault women. Bunch of goddamn Neanderthals.

We are so fucked.
