Someday someone will write a book about the fall of democracy.

And the main characters will be Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, Vladimir Putin, a Republican Party frozen with inaction and the paralysis of indecision, and a Congress that became a toothless tiger that surrendered all its senses and powers to investigations and explanations.

It is happening as we speak. We don't know how this is going to turn out? Maybe no one will suffer any consequences? Maybe it will all be explained away as nothing more than a partisan battle?

It does feel as if we are on the precipice of some great change. We can either build a bridge to the other side or we can fall into the pit? I do not see a lot of bridge builders at this time.

They are choosing inaction because they are complicit.

Who worked so hard to overturn McCain-Feingold, lame as it was, Stymied President Obama's agenda and stole a seat on the Supreme Court.

When the Gang of Eight was informed by the FBI that Russia was maybe interfering in our elections, Obama wanted to tell the people about it. McConnell vetoed the idea. He said if Obama and the Democrats brought this forward as an issue, he would say that it was nothing more than "partisan politics" by the Democrats. Obama made the decision to let it stand, since he was fairly sure Hillary was going to win the election anyway...

Media has played a huge role.

And dont forget Koch, Mercer, the Waltons, Adelson. GOP funders are behind the GOP shift into craziness.

Together they aim to make America an autocracy, or a banana republic -- all in the name of tax cuts for the rich.

With FOX primarily. But I have read that Iheart Radio may be gone by years end. It's like the end of alternative news. The truth is going to rush in to fill the vacuum.
