1) This is a federal grand jury? Doubt it, he controls all of the federal prosecutors

2) State/County grand jury? Unlikely

In the history of the US no President has been indicted by a Grand Jury out of respect for the Separation of Power clause of the Constitution. The "grand jury" for the President of the US is the House of Representatives.

This would be a terrible precedent if it were true because it would mean that grand juries could indict Democratic Presidents. If you think that actions like this work only against Republicans then you are very naive.

It is an ironic contradiction to Mensch's tweet however because she has already stated that an indictment is already in hand. I doubt either one of them are bright enough to realize that they are now contradicting each other in their effort to create fiction to drive their fans ardor.

even though a whole bunch of his minions were. Instead, the grand jury that indicted Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell, Colson, Strachan, Mardian, and Parkinson secretly named Nixon as an unindicted co-conspirator. The special prosecutor dissuaded them from an indictment of Nixon on the ground that a President can't be indicted until he leaves office because of separation of powers/executive privilege issues.

Clyde and pal Louise Mensch are rumor-mongers who often can't even get their basic legal terminology straight. Why would anyone with real information they wanted to make public leak it to these guys and not to the Washington Post or the New York Times, media outlets that would actually be taken seriously?
