is well aware of these demographic statistics and they specifically target and appeal to white anxieties about non-whites, be it blacks, Latinos, Asians or Middle Easterners. The Democratic Party since Franklin Roosevelt has attempted to be a party of inclusion. That is why southern white Democrats left the Democratic Party (Dixiecrats). Sometimes the Republicans win (Bush & Trump) and sometimes the Democrats win (Clinton & Obama). Turnout is always the key variable, who gets more of their supporters to the polls.
2043 is the year that the census bureau projects the U.S. will become a majority non-white nation if current population growth (birth rate by race plus immigration) hold.

Property value is going down and having to compete with "those people" in the job market is the constant theme that is so easy for the GOP to exploit.
Government aid programs were popular ("Who wouldn't want to lend a helping hand to a neighbor?&quot until that neighbor was not white. Then came Reagan and his aggressive campaign claiming that people of color were the majority of recipients in order to demonized those programs.
