It's excellent, but not especially brave since security will be extra triple tight for her & show.nt Bernardo de La Paz May 2017 #9

I was actually wondering whether she would ever perform again.

The psychological weight of those deaths would weigh on many people to the point where they would never be able to face it again. I know it would be hard for me.

This is an incredibly powerful statement to get back off the ground so quickly. To do it in the same place for the victims is incredible.

My heart goes out to everyone at the arena, and I know some will roll their eyes at expressing concern for her. But I wholeheartedly agree with you. That weight has to be crushing. This is astounding and admirable.

as they could still target her shows in the future when security goes back to the normal level

I am not really thinking it is brave due to a physical risk. It will certainly be secured beyond all normal means and may be the safest place to be that day.

I mean overcoming the crushing psychological weight of having that on your conscience. I know that would be killing me. I would be inclined to become a hermit just to keep from endangering people who got close to me.

She should in no way feel it on her conscience, but I understand that sometimes people do in reaction to something like that. A variation on "survivor guilt".

Very brave to return to the scene of such a tragedy. What a beautiful gesture to try to benefit the families of the victims.

This tragedy has not only affected the UK, but many of us here in the US. I have thought daily about the fear and sadness that many of these families are facing. For Ariana to step up with this bold statement and reaffirming that we won't let this stop the music, is just simply awesome.

Well done, Ariana!

What happened at the Ariana Grande show, or at the Eagles of Death Metal show, or at Dimebag Darrell's last show, we need to make sure that concert security is a huge priority, as it should be for *ANY* public event. No one's lives should be taken away because they choose to go have fun. And the American pundits who said that what happened was the fault of liberals, fuck you. Just because you choose not to have fun doesn't mean the rest of us can't.

I often worry about this since my teenage daughter goes to various concerts. But, we can't let them (terroists) control the dialogue. In fact, I believe it makes us stronger when they try.
