The GOPee, actually Paul Ryan's PAC for the most part, spent 5.6 million on a race in a district that Shit Gibbon won by 20 points while the Democratic Party spent less than a half million on a lack luster dark horse.

I would hope money is put into field--- staff (perhaps paid canvassers), office space (very large district, needs multiple offices), support (food, water, etc), supplies, walk pieces, direct mail

But when you're being outspent at least half should've been spent. 1 Mil goes a long way in Montana. And he added to that after May 5, not gargantuan sums, but more.

(I've been a field and canvass director and have managed such budgets)
