2. Some think mensch is not a part of the resistance. I understand their concern.

Here are my thoughts.

I agree with a lot of what is stated in that string of tweets.

3. Truth be told Mensch

lost my full support 2 wks ago when she predicated imminent arrests and indictments and then gave a time frame--48 to 72 hrs.

This was at a time when the GJ news was everywhere and people were at a fever pitch waiting for things to break. And nothing happened. Then she gets into twitter fights re all her "exclusives" and n9t being properly credited. I still check her out periodically but with a huge gos.

4. She tweeted about warrants, and it turned out that the warrants

weren't arrest warrants but search warrants -- and they were served on a major GOP fundraiser. So something did happen.

But I don't expect anyone to give her or anyone else "full support." We all have to use our heads when considering the information deluge out there.

because the tweets I read were talking about the GJ; & they don't issue search warrants.

8. If someone such as Flynn was indicted, but decided to become

a cooperating government witness, then his indictment would remain sealed till the prosecution decided to press charges. There are also other reasons a prosecutor would decide to keep an indictment under seal and to hold off with arrests.

So how do we know no Grand Juries issued indictments?

I think this individual makes excellent points. Stop all the infighting and charged criticism, the nitpicking and alienating accusations that something isn't perfectly correct at any particular time. No one is making anyone read anything, be it on twitter or elsewhere. We're all adults and if we're thinking human beings, we can make our own judgments about the tidal wave of information coming at us. The speed of information is the problem, trying to filter what we read, not at any particular moment, but over the long haul. We all recall the Steele Dossier when it was leaked, raw intel. But, in fact, over the long haul a good portion of that report has been verified.

So, to each his/her own but I plan on reading and deciphering as much info as possible, from as many sources as possible. Because it's important to our very survival.

9. The "logic" of the argument is stupid and short-sighted
Fri May 26, 2017, 09:21 PM
May 2017

If the argument is that Trump lying is bad because it means you can't trust him, well others lying also means you can't trust them. To do otherwise is effectively arguing that Trump isn't bad because he lies, he's a misogynist and a con artist, he's bad because he's predetermined to be bad which is circular logic. It's effectively saying that we don't like Trump because he's bad, and he's bad because we don't like him.

It also fails because it presumes that winning is the only thing that matters. It presumes that the ends justify the means, which is nonsense. Take this example. There is a person who will die without your heart, another who needs your kidneys, another who needs your corneas, etc etc. Do they individually or collectively have a moral right to kill you for the organs that could save 3, 4, 5 or more lives? If the ends justify the means, yes they do.

There's also being unquestioning about who you work with leads to some crappy outcomes. For example, we were quite content to arm some rebels in Afghanistan because we saw only the Soviets as dangerous. And while obviously there are multiple causes of terrorism, we helped to organize and arm people who in additional to committing acts of terrorism against the West also made life really crappy for women, gays, etc.

10. I don't think the two are deliberately lying. But I do think that in the battle

against DT, it is critical that we win. And I believe the enemy of our enemy may be an ally.

Louise Mensch is a conservative, yes: the kind who supports universal, national health insurance AND who is a never-trumper. On other issues we disagree. Once DT is out of power I'll be concerned about that. For now, I don't care.

Claude Taylor, of course, has always been an ally. You seem unaware of that.
