Too bad he didn't bother to inform himself about it in the first place.

Donald Trump is said to have told European Union leaders he is worried Americans may lose jobs as a result of Britain leaving the EU, in what would amount to an extraordinary U-turn by the US president.
An EU source said Trump spoke of the risks to the global economy posed by Brexit during a 45-minute meeting in Brussels with Donald Tusk and Jean-Claude Juncker, presidents of the European council and European commission respectively.

Further details of Trumps comments were not immediately available but the claim raises questions about whether he still believes the UK made the right decision in the EU referendum last June.

(82,849 posts)Is it so goddam hard for political reporters to say, "President Trump doesn't know what he's talking about." Every stupid thing he says, grounded or not in reality, is breathlessly reported as if Moses was reading it off stone tablets at the foot of Mt. Sinai. You know how you can tell that he doesn't know what he's talking about? Let's use his statements quoted in the original post: "Brexit will be a wonderful thing for Britain." Ask the question: Why do you say that? What will make it wonderful? You don't have to be confrontational, you can be totally folksy about it. But ask this moron a straight, simple question. He'll show you himself that he doesn't know what he's talking about, and he likely won't even know that's what he's telling you. Then you can report his remarks with a full understanding that he's just shooting his mouth off, he doesn't really know what he's talking about.
