And had to be told TO GET HIS OWN FUCKING LAWYER.
This is at the tail end of the article.

But the Russia investigation has shaken Mr. Kushner, friends and associates say. When news broke last week, Mr. Kushner and his wife at first discussed getting a statement denying the report issued through the White House counsel, Donald F. McGahn II who told them that it was not a good precedent to set and that it was a job for a personal attorney.

(19,961 posts)night, knowing all the stuff you got up to with the Russians over the last year, has been probably logged, recorded or even videod ? Let's face it, what Kushner did, and pretty much all the rest of them, was for filthy money, but it's still treason. Flynn probably did it for revenge and money.
If it was you or me, and we had done something like this, we would have that sinking feeling of being ruined, jailedand shamed. Some of them must surely be feeling that, even a little bit ?

(51,608 posts)I wouldn't be able to function. Yet again, I'm not a sociopath and that's the big difference. I hope they go broke paying their legal fees. Clinton almost was when he had to pay his lawyers for the impeachment BS.

(51,571 posts)Could it be he's having trouble finding a lawyer to do it?
He already has teams of lawyers working for him because of his businesses and penchant for suiting tenants in his rental properties. Odd that he couldn't get one of the scumbag lawyers currently working for him to put out that denial.

(9,974 posts)And not his. Using the WH lawyer means WE would be paying for the lawyer....using his own means he has to pay.

Wa post didn't because they said they were obviously Kishinev plants.

(15,286 posts)She issued a statement saying Kusher has offered to testify to the Senate Intel Cmte and also to talk to the FBI, but neither entity has contacted him. It was the classic non-denial.

(51,571 posts)His excuse for not reporting meetings with Kysliak is that he didn't "remember" those meetings. Again, not a denial.

(23,244 posts)...saying that he had "no recollection" of those "phone calls"* "as described"....Apologies to weasels, but that is about as weasely a statement as anybody had made since reagan & poppy denied knowing about the Iran-Contra plot.
(*Nobody's talking about phone calls here--we're talking about f--king MEETINGS with the Russian ambassador, FFS! How the hell do you forget those meetings without psychotropic drugs??)

(2,845 posts)except to come up with a newer scheme to bilk, scam, fleece or swindle people out of money. Their lives are consumed only with the accumulation of more money any way, from anyone, from anywhere possible. They haven't a clue on how to enjoy life. You'll never see them tailgating at a football game. You'll never see them screaming for joy on a roller coaster. They are only seen at events that they believe they are supposed to be seen at. Whether they actually hate them or not. What a shitty existence. Hopefully soon, they'll have to weather a really shitty existence... in prison.

Yes, he had a lawyer. He was just trying to chisel us to avoid paying him.

(5,801 posts)as pointed out above, these grifters assume they can milk the public for whatever they want. And, remember, this is "Game of Thrones for Morons", as pointed out by Foreign Policy magazine. Don't assume they can reason their way out of a paper bag.
Also, the great Charlie Pierce wrote a piece recently on jarhead as a landlord. Clearly the guy is a sociopath who has no compunction extracting whatever he can from others. And, anyone who thinks iwanna is nicer--the fact that she married this cold-blooded predator shows she's no better than the rest of her thieving clan.

(12,448 posts)As if that folder wasn't overstuffed already. How could he NOT know you can't use a WH counsel as your personal lawyer? Of course, Jared may have known that, but assumed he could get away with it.

Because he's a grifter, like the rest of the family of grifters.
