They had all the time in the world to show they actually cared and wanted to fix or improve the ACA but out of spite they chose not to. Instead they scraped together a wealthcare bill. And now after their beer party, reality is setting in. Some of the Greed Over Principles will people are looking out for themselves and looking at their constituents in regard to reelection. They are also trying to shape this to blame the Democrats which is nothing new.

Their sponsors(corporations who owned them lock stock and barrel) need their pound of flesh in the form of Tax Breaks.

With investigations looming into hot money and McConnell,Slimy Mitch will pull the trigger.

ACA does need some fixing & Republicans are not going to do anything.

Aetna and Humana are leaving next year (which Aetna threatened to do if their merger with Humana was not approved)

Red states that did not create markets are dragging down the system.

I think this may have been their plan all along - create more chaos (Trump is good at that) - and finally crash ACA - then complain that it didn't work.
