Seth Abramson did a lengthy detailed expose a couple of months ago about the Trump Mayflower Hotel speech where Trump, Kislyak, Manafort, Burt, Sessions, Kushner and others met in a private room before the speech. Franken is alluding to other previous reports that had described Sessions as just in the audience for the speech, when in fact Sessions was in the private meeting, and definitely not in anyway connected to his Senate duties.

some on here calling Seth Abrahmson's reporting suspect in March. As I read it then it made sense given the info at the time. It wasn't fanciful or obtuse, each players role seemed plausible given both the GOP and trumps penchant for lying. Just the fact that the speech was moved from the NPC to a less secure (larger building with more privacy) smaller venue was suspicious.
