(Reuters) - The estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had three antidepressants but no alcohol in her system when she committed suicide in May, a New York medical examiner's office said on Saturday.
Results of toxicology tests completed in June revealed that Mary Kennedy, 52, had the antidepressants Trazodone, Desmethylvenlafaxine and Venlafaxine in her blood when she died, a representative of the Westchester County Office of the Medical Examiner said. There was no alcohol found, the report said.

Question. Is it normal for depressed patients to be on three different antidepressants?

(62,683 posts)wasn't doing the trick. I assumed it was an anti depressant itself used to be used in conjunction. If it's not normal and she felt she wasn't getting the results she wanted, she could have gone to more than one doctor, too.

(2,110 posts)It seems unusual to take three different ones though. But I don't know. Thanks.
