First GOP Ad Attacking Kathy Griffin Appears

Kathy Griffin’s “Decapitated Trump” photo and the subsequent backlash have broken into the world of political campaigning with the arrival of a new attack ad from a Republican Super PAC denouncing “liberal extremists.”

The ad is airing in Georgia as part of that state’s special election for the House seat once filled by Health Secretary Tom Price and which is now being contested by Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican Karen Handel. The ad from the Congressional Leadership Fund refers to Griffin as a “celebrity Jon Ossoff supporter” who is “making jokes about beheading the President of the United States.” Griffin had voiced her support for Ossoff via Twitter back in March.

Ossoff’s campaign condemned the ad from the Super PAC Congressional Leadership Fund, calling on Handel to request the ad be pulled from the airwaves.

“Jon Ossoff believes what Kathy Griffin did was despicable and for Karen Handel’s super PAC to say otherwise is a disgrace,” said Ossoff spokeswoman Sacha Haworth told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Karen Handel should immediately demand this ad be pulled before any more children have to see these disturbing images on TV.”

Was that people saw her as the one bringing Trumps vulgarity into their living rooms. Some of the commercials of Trumps own words were not fit for a young audience yet they were being pumped into houses across the country non-stop. At one point I was muting the commercials because I was sick of hearing Trumps unbridled hatred.

Also, for people like Trump no publicity is bad publicity. That said, such isn't the case. The people that were afraid of 'liberal extremism' were going to vote Republican anyway.
