We know media hacking affected the election. Keep our eyes on the ball.

We now know that thousands of Russian trolls and a big GOP social media op (Cambridge Analytica, Mercer, Parscale) launched an information war during the campaign. One big goal was voter suppression -- feeding distortions to Hillary voters to keep them home.

We have confirmation from the FBI, from the Senate Intelligence committee, and from the words of the companies above that this happened. Cambridge Analytica and Parscale bragged about the voter suppression.

Now Hillary has laid it out again for us in her Recode interview. And in a play that would be ironic, if it wasn't so important to the country, trolls and the GOP media are DESPERATELY trying to deflect what she said, applying the same information war methods, and focusing on how much was actually her campaign fault.

We KNOW this social media manipulation happened. Let's focus on this -- it damaged Hillary and helped her lose. Let's not lose sight of this as other potential election manipulation is investigated.

We must prevent propaganda in the future.
