Didn't you know that there are now two ERA bills before US Senate and House, one that eliminates the purported time limit in the original and sets in motion the ERA's passage when JUST 3 more states vote for ERA? ..and that there are SEVEN states that are upfront with bills?
The Republican legislative War on Women is up for Defeat by the ERA at a mammoth ERA Rally on the US Capitol's west lawn ON AUG. 18, from 10 to 6pm. What is Florida's Republican troglodytes problem with gender-equal treatment? "ERA will hurt Business" said the VP wannabe Sen Marco Rubio. SURE, THEY'LL EVENTUALLY HAVE TO PAY US EQUAL WAGES, NOT THE 72% OF A MAN'S SALARY THAT FLORIDA WOMEN ARE NOW PAID--puts 1 in 7 elderly women in POVERTY.
In essence, us 99%ers have to take up the slack left by Business who won't pay equal wages (blinded by The Light of $$), and WE wind up paying for support of those kindly elderly ladies who never ever made enuf $ to fund a pension, Soc Security, etc to reap a normal retirement!
The fault is not Yours, it's Big Business, the Mitt Romney kind.
