depending on the circumstance IMO I've seen conservatives continue to espouse a viewpoint despite evidence to the contrary as a joke or a troll. the person who posted the article in your OP may have believed it, but other commentary in support of trump on the website could likely have been done with a wink and a nudge with their knowledge that the US has regained a white leader who will look out for interests of white America.
