The American Apology Shirt is Back!!!

In 2003, I bought one of these, and the week after the election, I was wishing I still had it, and I was sad that the site was no longer live. I even tried to get another company to make the shirt.

I just did a new search, and I am so happy it is back!!! But with any luck, we may not be able to wear it for very long.

I made the American Apology Shirt for myself in the summer of 2003 when I moved out of the United States to live in Denmark and felt that I had to show people in other countries that George W. Bush and his policies did not represent all or even most Americans. Other people found the shirt and I sold thousands of them, which produced roughly $10,000 in profit, half of which I gave to MSF, Doctors Without Borders. Thirteen years later, it seems like this shirt might be helpful again. This time, I'll be donating 100% of profits to MSF.

The front of the shirt says "American Traveler International Apology Shirt" and the back says "I'm sorry my president is an idiot. I didn't vote for him." Each side is repeated in five other languages. There are separate versions for male and female wearers, reflecting differences in grammar in some of the languages.
