He was elected president with the advertent help of Vladimir Putin and the inadvertent help of James Comey. The latter gets his chance for penance on Thursday. He received forty six percent of the vote. A lot of that vote came from people who would have voted for Satan if he had a (R) after his name and they actually did and the remainder of the vote came from people whose lives are such messes, whether they were responsible for making them messes or not, that they wanted Chump to make everybody else's lives messes.
He is not freaking Ares.*
Actually Ares is a figure of Greek mythology.
On edit- forgot about the archaic and anti-democratic Electoral College

(16,423 posts)Seriously. I once started an OP how Trump is just a bad person, not evil incarnate, and it got hidden for "peddling right-wing talking-points".

(733 posts)Putin doesnt play around with interfering with elections. With an asset like Trump in his hands he can at least incapacitate our government. This explains why agencies are understaffed to the point of being unable to functions. Especially, the State Department has suffered because of its position of representing the face of America to the world.
But beyond incapacitating our government, Putins main objectives are for Trump to rescind sanctions, destroy NATO, and get a free hand in Eastern Europe. One of Trumps first steps was to signal to Putin that the US would not back its invasion of Ukraine by changing the Republican platform at its convention.
We know now that even before Trump was in office, he was planning to rescind sanctions on Russia, sanctions worth billions of dollars to shore up Russias third world economy.
But Trumps inexplicable behavior seems to work against his own It can be explained by his ties to Putin. Why does Trump have so many people with ties to Russia in his administration? Putin has Trump put these people into communication with Trump?
