Life is good this morning, well better than usual. I had that one funny morning with 'covféfé...I copied so many good DU memes, even created my very first one-all with DU help.

I cut my eye-teeth on Watergate, and it made me a lifelong Democrat with conviction, starting with my first presidential vote for that Georgia peanut farmer!

What we have now just confirms the informed choices that have influenced many of us decade after decade.

Also - maybe allow us a little skepticism and cynicism?

We've seen a lot of shit.

A portion of a circle can look a lot like a bending arc.

Niyad, I am going to be 70 a month before Hillary this Fall. It is a fact that I cannot believe we are still having to protest this shit. Remember the Right to Life crap in the '90s, the big "No Place to Hide" actions? I stood in solidarity with Planned Parenthood outside our local hospital, while the anti-choice yahoos waved their dirty pictures and woman-shaming slogans. Standing next to me was a little woman named Mabel, well into her 80s at that point. I was feeling energized, but Mabel was simmering with anger that this was still a battle.

I found some folded cardboard at home after the March in January and had my husband do the lettering, as he's good at it and I'm not. A friend snapped and posted my picture at a local action a few weeks later -- in support of PP. I'm wearing my pink 2004 March for Women's Lives t-shirt and my pink sunhat, and holding that sign. An 8X10 copy is now in a frame on my study wall.

To Mabel, and all of us

later, we are still fighting the woman-hating gestational slavers.

I was at a roe v wade march in sacramento, and was attacked by some of the loonies. the cop standing there did nothing.

and still we fight. I will NOT be silenced, I will NOT shut up, I will NOT sit down, roll over, and hand this world over to these assholes.
