A reminder.... Republican attacks on Democrats for questioning Dubya....

Cheney at RNC Convention 2004:

"While young Americans are dying in the sands of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan, our nation is being torn apart and made weaker because of the Democrats' manic obsession to bring down our commander in chief.
Motivated more by partisan politics than by national security, today's Democratic leaders see America as an occupier, not a liberator."

-----
Ed Koch column: (2/2007)
"Democrats and some Republicans in Congress are seeking to humble, embarrass and, if they can, destroy the President and the prestige of his position as the Commander-in-Chief who is responsible for the safety of our military forces and the nation's defenses. By doing so, they are adding to the dangers that face our nation."
---
Ari Fleischer in response to comments made by Krugman and Maher questioning W:
"...reminders to all Americans that they need to watch what they say, watch what they do."
--------------

Ashcroft said that people who raise concerns about the impact of the Justice Department's actions on civil liberties ("those who scare peace-loving people with phantoms of lost liberty&quot actually "aid terrorists" and "give ammunition to America's enemies.
------------
To question the president, his motives, or the wisdom of our current policy is unpatriotic, says Hannity.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Why did I post this today, you ask?
These comments were made by Reince Preibus today on the mothership...faux news...
"Save America. Fire Barack Obama and hire Mitt Romney," Priebus said on "Fox News Sunday." "Mitt Romney has to win for the sake of the very idea of America. Mitt Romney has to win for liberty and freedom."
---
It is past time to throw their very own words back at them. They have done nothing but try to make our President weaker. They have questioned and countered his every move. And they had the nerve to say that Dems were effecting the impact of our Justice Dept??? Really??? After their dog and pony show against Holder???
And today the head of the RNC calls President Obama unAmerican on national tv?
Fuck them!
You know very well that if the worst thing happens and Willard gets elected, their talking points will go right back to How DARE YOU question the President of the United States during a global economic disaster....
Why do we always let them get away with this crap?
I too, still wonder, how people can still buy into this crap. The one good thing about Romney's campaign is that he's actually exposed himself as being a liar, hypocrite, douchebag, etc., which has proven to be advantageous to the Obama administration; sadly, Gore didn't have that going for him in 2000. If Bush had slipped up as much as Romney did we might've had eight years of Albert, Jr. instead of George, Jr.
with this bull. Progressive blogs were screaming LONG before GW was crowned king of the United States, that he was gearing up for war in the M.E., specifically Iraq. But no one paid attention. Corporate Media was too busy propagating that lie that Al Gore had claimed to have invented the internet.
Today, we have the progressive evening line up on MSNBC and CurrentTV, Facebook, HuffPo, and many, many other progressive sites, and we won't let them get away with it anymore.
and, "YOU DON'T CRITICIZE THE PRESIDENT WHEN THERE ARE TROOPS IN THE FIELD!" thing ended abruptly in January of 2009.
One of a 1,000 different ways the rules for the Rs are completely different than the rules for the Ds with the "liberal media."
by the Republicans. I remember all too well. And I do throw those words back at them every chance I get.
It doesn't help. They are hypocrites. They have a million reasons why "this president" is different. It starts with that he is not a "legitimate" president and goes downhill from there. But I will continue to use their words against them.
In addition the Right Wing Think Tanks went from trying to craft language to win over Liberals to support their unpopular agenda to attacking Liberals.
Everything they say has been tested by Luntz.
They have special words, special language.
It's pathetic! And no wonder why people love President Obama, even if they hate his politics.
He speaks from the heart. As does Biden.
rose over the years to positions of leadership and all of the negative things they said about Democrats are now considered FACT by the ones that followed them.
That's how you end up with a totally non-statesman-like leadership that doesn't pull it's wacko nutcases aside to tell them to tone it down for the sake of the credibility of the Party. They feel that stuff really represents their actual positions and hail those with the courage to come forward.
9. Jan. 20, 2009: We embarked on a mission to rebuild America from the economic disaster that was Bush
Sun Jul 8, 2012, 04:21 PM
Jul 2012
...the GOP embarked on a mission to destroy Barack Obama. If putting people back to work got in the way of that, then f*ck putting people back to work. They would literally throw millions of people (families) to the wolves to satisfy their naked lust for power, to build America into a conservative utopia which only conserved wealth for the wealthy and power for the powerful. Women, minorities, and those of contrary political, economic or religious views would be squat out of luck in their utopia. It's not a trickle-down economic vision, it's a piss-on economic vision. It's not a society in which the weak are helped up, but where they are trampled on with a steel boot, to be tossed to the side when the stampede's over. It is NOT the America I want to live in!!!
The GOP needs to be wiped off the face of the earth, as far as I am concerned. Their greed and hatred disqualify them from ANY position of wealth, power, or trust in this America. The visions of FDR and the other great progressive leaders of our nation must be restored!!
12. They must be stopped for their own good
Sun Jul 8, 2012, 05:29 PM
Jul 2012
This is not simple hypocrisy. They are psychotic. Several members of my own family gave me grief over protesting the Vietnam war back in the sixties. Even though they have now acknowledged that the war was unnecessary, they have not apologized to me or anyone. In their minds they were right then and I am still wrong. Hypocrites will often capitulate when they are confronted and exposed. Psychopaths double down and go deeper. They seem to admire others obnoxiousness. Judge judy is a big hit with them, but not because she is a judge, but because of the display of rudeness that makes them feel empowered. They enjoy that type of spectacle. It doesn't even matter what the merits of the case were as long as they get to see somebody being smacked down. Hypocrites simply cannot see irony. Psychotics want to inflict pain and discomfort on others. We need to stop dealing with them as hypocrites and begin to treat them as the mentally ill specimens that they truly are. They should never ever be allowed to hold positions of authority.
bluedogs and chicken Democrats who are afraid to cal a lie a lie when the rightwing calls Dems liars day in and day out..
Dems always use pretty words and instead of calling them what they really are and if they do the next day or two we see them apologize.
They apologize because teabaggers call their offices and they get scared when the teabaggers aren't voting for them anyway.
