the President.
What date was that?
If there were 9 contacts between Comey and Trump, where did Comey's statement to Sessions fall in the chronology?
Thanks

(171,079 posts)WASHINGTON The day after President Trump asked James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director, to end an investigation into his former national security adviser, Mr. Comey confronted Attorney General Jeff Sessions and said he did not want to be left alone again with the president, according to current and former law enforcement officials.

(7,434 posts)One was that Comey asked Sessions before the group meeting in which both Sessions and Comey attended. It was the meeting in which Trumpy asked everyone to leave the office but Comey. Sessions lingered behind as a response to Comey's earlier request. Trumpy then asked Sessions a second time to leave the two of them alone, and Sessions complied.
The other version extends this first account. After the above meeting, Comey told Sessions to never AGAIN let Comey be alone with Trumpy.
Either way, it's a damning account for Trumpy.

(8,277 posts)chronology suggests that Trump continuted to talk with Comey after Comey complained to Sessions.
So I HOPE TO HELL...that someone asks Comey if Sessions instructed the President that
we have separation of powers and that he can not and must not engage the FBI in such questions.
OTHERWISE;..... Trump will plead ignorance I didn't know, blah blah blah...
Did Sessions do his job?

(24,654 posts)It was following the February 14 Oval Office meeting. I do not know if it was the same day or a few days later. His statement says, "shortly afterwards, I spoke with AG Sessions in person to pass along the President's concerns about the leaks. I took the opportunity to implore the AG to prevent any future direct communication between the President and me."
