When a crisis struck, Mark Beischel didnt hesitate.
On Dec. 8, 2011, the 18-year-old Bellevue Boy Scout (then 17) and his mother, Christine, were returning from a meeting with a Bellevue city engineer about his Eagle Project plan to tag storm drains with environmental stickers.

Mark was still in uniform when he saw Bellevue resident Pat Barett fall 15 feet from a tree.
Mark jumped out of the car, yelled out to Pats son that he needed emergency services right away and rushed over to Pat, who was attempting to get up.
