Palpatine had brilliant intelligence, a profound ability to plan and accomplish long-term goals and the ability to manipulate people into doing his bidding. He was truly evil and he knew how to channel his energies to achieve and wield his powers. In contrast, Trump is stupid, incapable of prolonged and focused thinking and everyone in his orbit becomes tainted. He has no understanding of the limitations of presidential powers or of much else, for that matter. Fundamentally, Trump is an idiot.

As president, Trump really hasn't accomplished anything of substance and if Forbes magazine (I think) was correct in their analysis of his finances, Trump has squandered his inherited fortune. Instead of all of his grandiose but failed ventures, he would have been better off investing his money in an indexed fund and just playing golf. Then he would have been worth even more than he claims.

He's such a loser.
