The most significant factor affecting the well being of any in-utero baby is the health of its mother while she is pregnant. If Republicans really cared about those unborn babies, Republican governors would not have opted out of the ACA's Medicaid expansion, which would have enabled more low income women to access regular prenatal care before that baby is born, increasing the odds that it is 1) actually born, and 2) has as healthy a start to life as possible. And if they really cared, they would have extended those benefits to pregnant women without asking for their 'papers'.

Of course, those particular mothers-to-be, and their babies-to-be by extension, are not very well off. Which is probably the reason that many Republicans are just paying lip service when they claim that they are the great protectors of their 'life'.

That was absolutely heartbreaking and cruel what happened to that woman.They are pro-birth but not pro-life. I said to a Trump humper that taking care of the planet is pro-life because we are concerned about future generations. And without clean air, water and safe food, nothing else matters.
