Trump attacked an environmental impact statement on a Maryland road he said was too long and costly.

At one point in his speech, he picked up several binders which he claimed contained thousands of pages of the impact study and threw them to the ground. You can actually see it here:




Trump said that he wanted to see capital and infrastructure statements in the future only contain a few pages in order to fasttrack their approval.

And to illustrate his point, he actually provided a copy of his own personal Environmental Impact Statement for the same Maryland road that he claimed was being held up by unnecessary paperwork and impact studies.
