Yahoo are unbelievable under the finance section for Amazon stock.
Most of us here are aware of the extreme right wing views that predominate over at Yahoo on articles in the comment section of those articles.
Just reading through the hate filled, cruel ugliness, that they express toward those less fortunate, all because Amazon is offering them a discount on a Prime membership is so revealing, and revolting. It is the perfect reflection of what the republican party, and those who support are.
Amazon isn't doing this out of the kindness of their heart, they are doing it to attract more business, but the resentment, and I would say hate that these posters have toward the poor and less fortunate is obscene

And private enterprise can do whatever they want, right?
I don't get why people lose their shit over $2/month. Facebook rage on this issue was prominent yesterday.

(92,381 posts)this purely as an investment, but it was how these comments were so resentful of the poor and less fortunate. They were attacking people who are on food stamps and welfare. There are some very sick assholes out there.

But for Prime, we're in a semi-rural Georgia area and prime definitely pays for itself a bunch over, but I think it would even if we lived in town. No running around looking for this or that. Lol because the other day I did something I almost never do -- I bought a stupid kitchen gadget. I have a drawer full of quality knives, Cuisinart processors in two sizes, and a mandolin, but I didn't have a scallion slicer for my sushi bowls. This thing:
$5.99, free shipping to the door. It arrived on my porch 2 days after ordering, my husband got a good laugh, and thing works just fine even if I can't read Japanese.
