Trump is too precise on number of times Comey said he wasn't under investigation

Trump avoids quantifying anything; he speaks in generalities most of the time.

But he was very, very precise:

"While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation..."

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/09/politics/fbi-james-comey-fired-letter/index.html

Almost as if he checked his records to confirm how many times Comey told him he was not under investigation.

Either he has an amazing memory, or he has memorialized these meetings in some way...

Like a tape, perhaps?

I think Kushner engineered the scheme to use Rosenstein's criticisms of Comey's handling of Clinton, as pretense for Trump to fire Comey in the letter and WH claim, until Trump admitted to Lester Holt that it was because of the Russia investigation.

Kushner would have been told by Trump what Comey said after each of the meetings, Kushner probably drew up the firing letter and had kept track of the three times Trump told him Comey had assured him he was not being investigated.

And a tape recorder.

The astounding thing is that it matches Comey's testimony; exactly three times out of nine separate meetings/conversations.
