But since Preet is working for Schneiderman, whatever info he was aware of could be helpful (although "transferring files" is probably a stretch unless there is some MOU between NY state and the DOJ as a "partnership"/joint thing, which might be possible).

It wouldn't be happening anyway unless we take the House in 2018 and even if he were impeached, the Senate wouldn't have enough to convict him so he would definitely be weak beyond weak at that point (not out of office unless he resigned).
