I miss Janet Reno right now.

In a very subtle, understated way, she was one of the most honest and forthright individuals to ever hold the position of attorney general.

She never putzed around or attempted to obstruct anything, even when the pressure from Congress around her deteriorated into a partisan witch hunt.

I think she was guided by the fact that unlike with Trump, there was ultimately no there there when it came to the alleged scandals surrounding her boss.

And she didn't offer excuses, either. If something didn't go right as planned, she owned up to it. But she didn't seek to control the narrative to seek any agenda, either.

In her own words, "I don't do spin." And also, "Tell the truth and don't cheat."
