America break out into open conflict...we can't allow that to happen

We have long assumed that lots of things couldn't happen in America - but they always have - just not always on a scale that most people are forced to notice. It can all fall to pieces if we fail to hold it together

There are people who have violent inclinations who care about the well being of many people. The talk about wanting to see 45 supporters suffer, talk of civil war, and other violent rhetoric has been vociferous and disturbing to me. I'm sad but not shocked and I hope cooler heads will prevail.

When a particular political party has this kind of agenda for its people then it would be naive to pretend that this can't happen. These politicians are enacting legislation that will make millions of lives miserable and they are doing it to enrich themselves and their wealthy campaign contributors who bought their votes. I'm honestly surprised it hadn't happened sooner and I doubt it will be the last time some crazy goes after them in a violent way. There's going to be a giant population of people who don't like them.

If we don't want to live this way we have to find a way to change our political system from this corrupt one we have now.

This could be an result when you take away peoples trust in institutions and the belief that elections are fair

My GOD. We pride ourselves in being a country that seeks to govern by votes and not bullets. If you become them you validate them,and you validate every suspicion they have about us.

We need to be America right now, no matter what anyone else does. If we were smart we would stand up with loud condemnation of this heinous act and let the horrors of lack of gun control speak for themselves.

We are better than this.
