State Attorney candidate Jeff Ashton to make announcement with former candidate Ryan Williams

Orange-Osceola State Attorney candidate Jeff Ashton is scheduled to make an announcement this morning with former candidate Ryan Williams.

Ashton and Williams are former prosecutors who worked for incumbent Lawson Lamar, but both left the office to run against the long-serving democrat. Ashton is best known for prosecuting Casey Anthony last year.

Williams withdrew from the race quietly last week for unknown reasons.

A press conference will be held later this morning.

I bet Williams is going to endorse Aston. I hope so. We need change in Central Florida, and if we get the right people in at the State Attorney's Office, it may be the beginning of real change.

Though, I really wish Jeff Aston had won that Casey Anthony mess. It doesn't seem to have affected his popularity with the right-wingers, however.
