The "Man Who Would Be King" changes what he says about almost everything from day to day. Some think it is because he is suffering from memory issues that are possibly related to Alzheimer's Disease. That could be true, of course, but I think it works the other way.
I think that The Donald actually thinks that everyone but him has Alzheimer's and can't remember his prior statements when he uses Twitter to voice whatever thoughts enter his head. One day, he'll throw Qatar under the bus, and then the next he'll sell them $12 Billion dollars worth of weapons, for example.
On another day, he'll decry political violence, trusting that nobody will remember all the times he advocated that very thing during his campaign. He must think that our short-term memories are failing.
Dear Donald: We remember. We remember everything. And we can go back and see what you said, exactly, at any time we wish. It is not the American People who forget things so easily. We don't. It's you.

(2,533 posts)that strategy has proven unsuccessful now He read books by Hitler for years trying to learn how to over run this country and be a dictator. His ex wife said he kept a Hitler book by the bed and was always reading it. Guess what stupid thing he overlooked ? Hitler had no twitter and there was no internet

A 1990 Vanity Fair article about billionaire businessman stated that Mr Trumps then wife Ivana, said her husband owned a copy of My New Order a printed collection of the Nazi leaders speeches.
Marie Brenner, the articles author, wrote: Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler's collected speeches, 'My New Order', which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed.

(15,805 posts)a worthwhile payoff. He knows at least some of the MSN will call him out on lying, but he doesn't care. They are only a useful foil, a slow-witted opponent that he uses to score points off of to impress his base by repeatedly claiming himself to be the poor, picked upon victim.
Trump doesn't care that journalists write critical articles about him or if a scant handful of Democrats cry foul, and it doesn't bother him in the least if a few leftie political commentators ridicule him. None of that makes a dent because Trump has Fox, Drudge, Breitbart, the entire rightwing media and hate radio, plus the RNC and every single Republican from the local school boards to congress all willing to carry water for him and keep his voters solidly within the fold.
