No, it's not the onset of dementia..it's a narcissist under pressure. Word salad is a tool

of the narcissist. I think people who have never been pulled into the world of a dark narcissist all close up and personal seem to keep looking for normal traits and excuses for 45's behavior. His word salad is not senility. It's typical of a narcissist under pressure or enraged. It's a tool. I really hate the fact that if he ever is caught for his crimes against this country I'm already sure that dementia will be used as a defense and everyone is just going to let that bastard slide because of it. Please watch this video and other videos about narcissists and you will begin to understand 45 better. No, he isn't a normal guy that is just having a memory slip. Please watch this video and it will lead you end to how a narcissist uses word salad which is discussed more towards the end, but the info that leads into it is vital to understanding. You know once you have ever had any very close relationship over a period of time with narcissists you know exactly what's in their bag of tricks and none of the stunts they pull seem confusing anymore.

That reminds me of Alzheimer's Disease.

Neat video, though. He could be a demented narcissist.

4. Branson recalls lunch with Trump..

Some years ago, Mr Trump invited me to lunch for a one-to-one meeting at his apartment in Manhattan. We had not met before and I accepted. Even before the starters arrived he began telling me about how he had asked a number of people for help after his latest bankruptcy and how five of them were unwilling to help. He told me he was going to spend the rest of his life destroying these five people.

He didn’t speak about anything else and I found it very bizarre. I told him I didn’t think it was the best way of spending his life. I said it was going to eat him up, and do more damage to him than them. There must be more constructive ways to spend the rest of your life

It's a tool they use to avoid taking responsibility for their own statements

Dealing with them sucks

"His unscripted speaking style, with its spasmodic, self-interrupting sentence structure, has increasingly come to overwhelm the human brains and tape recorders attempting to quote him.

Trump’s crimes against clarity are multifarious: He often speaks in long, run-on sentences, with frequent asides. He pauses after subordinate clauses. He frequently quotes people saying things that aren’t actual quotes. And he repeats words and phrases, sometimes with slight variations, in the same sentence."

on a close personal level a couple times and IME the dementia tends to magnify the symptoms of narcissism.

And while Trump does it as a narcissist, it's not the word salad thing that makes me think he has some type of dementia, like perhaps multi infarct dementia.

14. you're right. It sure would be hard to separate the two symptoms in the beginning stages.

They desperately need to do psyche evaluations on people who run for powerful positions. They have made some police do it in some police departments & a President can get a lot more people hurt and killed at once than a cop can

He could have other issues as well, including dementia.

He's definitely not competent to be president. It's terrible that millions of people applaud him. That says something terrifying about our country.

7. He is definitely a narcissist

But the thing with word salad is that he does it all the time. Still could be a narcissistic technique though. He actually has no idea what he is doing or talking about, so the word salad is a way of obscuring that fact.

Most narcissists can churn out a far more comprehensible word salad. In his case, I'd say it's both.
