Trump disapproval hits 64 percent in AP poll

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/338092-trump-disapproval-hits-64-percent-in-ap-poll

Nearly two-thirds of Americans disapprove of the job President Trump is doing in the White House, according to an Associated Press-NORC poll released Thursday.

Sixty-four percent of respondents said that they don't like how the president's handling his office, while just over a third – 35 percent – approved of Trump.

The poll also found that 65 percent of Americans believe Trump has little or no respect for the country's democratic institutions and traditions. By comparison, only about 34 percent said they believe he has a great deal or even a fair amount of respect for such institutions.

Fleeing to Mar a Lego to hide from reality for a couple of days.

GBW was at 35% in December '06, when the Second Republican Great Depression began to really hit home. My business volume halved in 11/2005 vs. 6 prior months.
It was a steady decline from there on out, but the floor was 25%. Trump and the R's will sink deeper than 25% as the investigation swallows more.

So he could still lose another 5-10 percentage points.

IIRC, Nixon's approval was still about 24-25% even after he resigned rather than be impeached.

or what he did wasn't all that bad so what's the big deal? That old fascist Pat Buchanan has been defending him ever since (and thought he should have burned the tapes). My old great-aunt had a picture of Nixon on her wall and never believed Watergate was a real thing. There will be people like that who'll defend Dolt 45 no matter what happens, probably about the same 25%. Which, when you think about it, is still a lot of people. SAD.

His base was said to be 40%, they were said to never leave him no matter what. Some of those 40% have already flipped, his base is definitely shrinking and I think more than half of them will leave. I think there's a core of racist Deplorables that's less than 20% that he'll never lose, maybe as low as 10-15%.

And here's the thing about those flipping, like a spurned lover they are going to be looking for revenge. The people who are turning against him now are obviously people who pay attention to politics, they can be harnessed to become activists against Trump's fascism.

The last 5% are just awful hateful human beings, they hate minorities, they hate gays, the want to see genocide, they'd love nothing more for death camps to pop up in every state where all the gays, blacks, and libs could be eliminated. They're the same vocal minority that made the Holocaust happen.

disagree with your observation that a "vocal minority . . . made the Holocaust happen." Hitler harnessed the machinery of the German state to make the Holocaust happen, dating from 1941 onward. There is much disagreement among historians as to whether his eliminationist policies had majority support (Goldhagen, et. al.) or whether most Germans simply preferred "to look the other way" (Hilberg, et. al.).

He is the most representative person of the Republican brand. Don't let them try to tell you he was a Democrat for years. He made his mark when the chips were down and came down heavily on the Republican side. He endorsed and endorses Republican policies and right wing and conservative policies. The Republican Party chose him to represent their brand because he was more Republican than the other 16 candidates.

President Дональд Трамп (Donald Trump) is Republican.

Lose no opportunity to remind voters that he is Republican through and through, and that Republican Reps and Senators endorsed him, vote for his policies ( https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/congress-trump-score/house/ ) and protect him.

They are all too busy loving the orange assface to care about things like democracy, freedom of elections, keeping elections free of foreign interference, not using the presidency as an ATM, making decisions as president based on how he personally profits, healthcare, education, respect, caring - nah none of them care one bit about those things. That's why we call them deplorables.
