trump knows what he (and his peeps) did, and he knows it's coming out, SOON!

He cannot kid himself anymore and he knows he's screwed. His only remaining moves are drastic ones. I can only imagine that the idea of setting the curtains on fire and fleeing during the confusion has crossed his mind and seems more doable as the minutes tick away.

The bigger question is if he knows what the Russians did. LonePirate Jun 2017 #1

Donald Trump is fundamentally stupid. He doesn't think clearly nor strategically. For example, after pretending that he fired Director Comey because of his handling of Hillary Clinton's emails, within a couple of days, he blurted out that he fired him because of the Russian investigation. A careful and thoughtful planner wouldn't undercut his own excuse this way.

Throughout his life, Trump has been able to shuck and jive his way around any difficulties. This is because most of his transactions have been private business affairs. When a settlement is negotiated there are non-disclosure clauses in the agreements and so no one ever sees what the deals were. But now, it's the government that wants to see what he was doing. There won't be any privacy but I think Trump doesn't know what this means nor how to deal with it. Further, his counselors are as stupid as he is, (birds of a feather, you know?).

God, I hope he gets raked over every coal in the fire pit.

This is a long long process. All that's going to happen to Trump this year will be self made in the form of tweets and crazy rants. Mueller will not release investigation results this year, or perhaps not even next year.

Sure, there will be whistle blowers in the news, but this is just the start. The wheels of justice turn at a snails pace for a case like this. When indictments and results finally do become public I expect this to tilt the globe on its axis. Trump is the head of a vast crime family, he's a thug who has committed hundreds of felonies. They'll get him for money laundering, racketeering, tax evasion, collusion with Russia and dozens of other felonies. People very close to him will get long prison terms. Trump might not even get a pardon from whoever replaces him, he may do time himself. But this case is going to take at least a year to build.
