We can handle that, though.

Even if we think we "win", the ability to contain or mitigate whatever "evil" may occur is the most important consideration, not just the face. That aggression, that nativist fear, that overwhelming childish narcissism - the Lizard Brain - is inherent in the fabric of our nation. In some ways, it has lead to progress as well as great evil, and we as a nation need to be able to both recognize it and keep it under control.

Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of that evil, and adjust until we as a nation can bring it under control. We don't need to keep fighting as "Good and Evil", we need to aim for the "Better v Worse" solutions, and *excise* that which blocks progress to a future for everyone that's at least livable or can be acceptable to mature people.

There are many ways to fight. There are many ways to progress.

...will chasten them all. Oh, they'll try to put on a brave face, but a Pence presidency isn't quite a do-over, even if he survives the criminal investigation. The GOP brand is suffereing already, and their Congressional reps are made that much weaker.

It won't be quick, but the way things seem to be going will tarnish them for a long time.
