He's trying to use public statements from the POTUS to undermine the investigation.

Whether he likes it or not the criminal investigation is being conducted by the Executive Branch of government of which he is the CEO. So it's not the same situation as him being a private citizen under investigation and as such his public statements carry more weight than someone just trying to defend themselves.

Trump is digging a hole and with each tweet it gets deeper.

but let's hope others will follow through as her letter outlines in the second tweet. I read some of the comments on that second tweet and one mentioned concern that Trump is setting things up for a dictatorship. Call me crazy, but the same thought has crossed my mind. I'm beginning to believe he's the most dangerous man to democracy ever to occupy the White House.
