But I'm shocked that, of all Trump's dumb and racist ideas, she would tie herself to The Wall, which is absolutely THE dumbest idea of them all. An idea so stupid that no one with a mindful third-grade education would ever take it seriously.

I mean, she could say that Trump isn't cutting taxes fast enough. He's not making those stifling corporate regulations more friendly to American business. He's not beefing up our military to show the rest of the world how powerful we are and not to mess with us. She could be hitching her creaky wagon to a thousand Republican canards to express her displeasure with Trump. But she goes with The Wall.

I'd heard her support was way down, so my best guess was that she's noting an unfilled visceral craving for a solid southern wall against brownness, an permanent 2,000-mile racist insult, that she could use to pump up her brand once again.

When you think about it, that's probably right. It's just appealing to fear and bigotry, the wall's a real, insulting thing simple minds can understand, and Rump's rather distracted these days.

Newsflash to you, Ann: President Pence isn't going to be doing much once we get a Democratic Congress in 2018. He'll find the residual Trump stench impossible to get out and Americans won't forget too easily who brought him in.
