...But Im More Creeped Out By How Obsessed Donald Trump Is With President Obama

This Cuba Deal Reversal Is Bad, But I’m More Creeped Out By How Obsessed Donald Trump Is With President Obama
Damon Young, 6/16/17

We have a few years worth of proof that Barack Obama is leasing prime real estate in Donald Trump’s Cheeto-adjacent brain. Beginning, of course, with the birther fiasco — the transparently racist pseudo controversy that made Trump a viable political figure and reminded us that Capital Letter Whiteness, if believing your Black ass to be a threat, will literally conjure shit about you out of thin air to satiate its nefarious thirst for racial hierarchy. His entire campaign and platform was basically just him touring the country with a WWBD (What Wouldn’t Barack Do) t-shirt. And since he’s been in office, the obsession with Obama has become even more conspicuous. Every week brings a new repeal of an Obama measure or reversal of an Obama policy. He even invited the heads of every HBCU to the White House for some ill-fated Obama-shaming photo opp, despite the fact that this nigga can’t even spell HBCU without a Lego teleprompter.

Earlier today, Trump continued his creepy infatuation with his predecessor, announcing a new Cuba policy that either stalls or outright cancels much of the progress Obama made with the nation. Of course, the White House is spinning this as some sort of humanitarian altruism.

For nearly six decades, the Cuban people have suffered under communist domination,” Trump said in Miami on Friday. “To this day, Cuba is ruled by the same people who killed tens of thousands of their own citizens, who sought to spread their repressive and failed ideology throughout our hemisphere and who once tried to host enemy nuclear weapons 90 miles from our shores.”

They even released Marco Rubio from the dungeon he’s been locked in since the election to make a statement. You can even picture Trump screaming “Bring out the gimp!”

“A year and a half ago a president, an American president landed in Havana to outstretch his hand to a regime. Today, a new president lands in Miami to reach out his hand to the people of Cuba,” Rubio said.

This rationale would seem to be consistent with America’s annoying tendency to bludgeon the world with democracy-by-White-savoring. We’re basically Leigh Anne Tuohy to Cuba’s Michael Oher. But this is nothing but Trump seeing that President Obama did a thing that people appreciated, and getting his knickers all twisted because of it. He’s like a boyfriend who’s so jealous of his girl’s ex that he sees an old pic of them together at a restaurant, gets beet red, and says “There will be no more forks in this house! Or spoons. Or food!”

You can only wonder how deep this obsession is. Does he try to get Botswana erased from the map because it rhymes with Obama? Does he refuse to say his name in private; choosing to just refer to Obama as “him over there”? Did he run out and cop a pair of Kyrie 3s to play golf in, just because Obama famously hooped in Costco Force Ones and he wants to stunt on his shoe game? Or is this infatuation more like a fatal attraction where Trump sleeps with a wax Obama mask every night? (Which might be why Melania couldn’t even sleep in the same state as this nigga.)

I’m gonna stop asking these questions, because we already know the answers to them.

President Obama didn't make Trump the butt of a joke, he humiliated Trump on national TV. I am 100% convinced that that correspondence dinner beat down is still sticking in Trump's craw.
Look at Trump's history of attacking people who even disagree with him let alone being publicly humiliated in front of the world.

that Obama was not an American and was a secret Muslim.

Trump doesnt deserve to have a job cleaning floors at a convenience store, let alone own anything or be in charge of anything.

People who do clean floors at convenience stores (which I have done in my life) are FAR FAR better people than he ever could be.

In the storm of Watergate, Nixon wanders the White House at night and comes to the JFK portrait and stops. He says, "People saw in you what they wanted to be." "In me, they see what they are."

Very similar here. President Obama is everything Trump is not. A cool customer, intelligent, thoughtful, classy, a good husband and father, and someone who could counter the people who wanted him to fail.

President Obama played chess; Trump plays Hungry Hungry Hippos!

Trump will never be a fraction of the human being that Obama is and it's eating him alive. Obama is superior to him in every way and the only way he can deal with it is by lashing out against his legacy, being the small, petty man that he is.

He is only making a fool of himself in the process, and making Obama look better and better every day.

We don't do that here on DU. Because you did, your post might very well get reported and taken down.

I agree that Trump loathes Obama and gleefully wipes out his legacy bit by bit. I don't know how much of it is racism, probably a lot. But it is also a whole lot of envy and jealousy that Obama was, and still is, greatly loved and admired. Trump has never ever forgiven Obama for ridiculing him at the correspondents' dinner. It is an old would that never heals.

I see Trump as obsessed with a mind filled with many many dark deep negative emotions: hate, anger, jealousy, pride, greed, and ignorance. Trump is a very pathetic person, and I feel sorry for him. He is not a happy man, mentally at peace, grateful for his blessings, and proudly standing in honor and integrity. Quite the opposite.

One day justice will catch up with Trump. I don't know where or when, but most surely it will. Meanwhile he will continue to spin out of control. Unable to tame his negative emotions. Unable to learn from his mistakes. Believing his own ego BS. Incapable of seeing his own ego, while the whole world sees his ego and ridicules him for it. He will reap the consequences of his karma.

in reference to a WHITE man.

This is really its own topic, but there is a definite difference in context and intent: "Nigga" versus "Nigger".

Madonna was lambasted for referring to her son as "my nigga". I disagreed with that because, knowing Madonna's history with black people, her personal relationships with black men, and her own adopted black children, I know she didn't mean that as a way of denigrating the race. It was an expression of comradeship with her son.

My nephew has done the same thing referring to white friends.

David Duke and all his White Nationalist compatriots would use the latter version above specifically to defame the entire black race.

It's pretty clear to me that intent is vastly different.

Yes he may have a huge grudge from the Coorespondents' Dinner. But beyond that, he sees reversing Obama's legacy as also making America "white" again, and business friendly, to boot.

So it does three things: gets revenge on Obama, pleases his base, and makes big money for his cronies. Also it is far easier to just to around negating everything than to actually craft something new. But conservatives are always like that--just say "No" and make everything march backward.

History is progressive and we will recover from this hiccup. Obama's legacy will return.

LOSER 45 knows Obama is smart, whereas, he, not so much

Obama has a loving nice family, LOSER 45 has no idea what that is, he only thinks of grabbing pussy

Obama did so many things to help the people, LOSER 45 is so vindictive, he has to undo them all, no matter the hurt to the people.

Obama went to Harvard with degrees, papa trump bought his idiot kids way into Wharton.

Obama understands diplomacy, LOSER has no idea what that is "I'd bomb the shit out of them"
