A Russian billionaire has parked his mega-yacht directly in front of the Statue of Liberty blocking views of America's most famous symbol of freedom.
For the past two months the superyacht, Le Grand Bleu, has been anchored right next to the statue in the harbor since the middle of April.
It left for a short while and retreated to Gravesend Bay in Brooklyn, but has been back since the start of June and is now blocking tourist's photos of the country's most famous tourist attraction.

(36,827 posts)The statue is almost 2 miles from Manhattan, which means the views of it from there aren't all that great to begin with, and it's elevated on a huge pedestal so no ship is going to be able to obstruct the view from the telescope you'd need to get a good look at it.
There's also numerous ships that park in the bay and always have.
