Can Trump pardon Flynn to keep him from truthfully testifying?

I know the timing (first, Flynn needs to be found guilty) precludes this, but what if Flynn knows Trump will pardon him if he doesn't implicate Trump?

Does Flynn need to balance his risk with immunity with the certainty of a pardon. (And hasn't all of Trump's actions regarding Flynn shown this to be a certainty?)

Will Trump try to let Flynn know he'll be pardoned? Any such message, if found, would certainly be evidence of obstruction of justice.

If we have a conspiracy to obstruct the federal justice system?

Perhaps VA or MD because some of these actions may have happened there. NY as well.

If he is pardoned, then he does not have to worry about jail time for himself. Does he hate Trump et al enough at this point to testify fully, even if Trump pardons him?

All of this is speculation.

So he would have to testify.

And if he lies he is subject to a new perjury charge(s).

If charges are state, then no the way I understand it.

Nixon was pardoned without being charged. Just a blanket pardon

Ford pardoned Nixon before he (Nixon) was even charged with any crimes. In any event, Flynn is a fool if he relies on any promise Trump might make.

something that is very likely.

That is, Trump will probably try to save himself with a pardon. (But then, might that not be seen as proof of guilt and obstruction of justice?)

They would be shutting down a witch hunt and not an investigation.

50/50 chance that bs flies. All they need to do is give congress a little cover. Congress won't need much to do the wrong thing. As per fucking usual.

That is what started impeachment proceedings against Nixon in autumn 1973 -- the Saturday Night Massacre. Granted, it took the tapes, where Nixon clearly attempts to obstruct justice, to bring him down. However we already have Drumpf live and in color admitting to exactly the same damned crime on one of the three classically major news networks.

Drumpf is screwn!

But we could very likely take back the House in 2018. That is how it is shaping up. Unfortunately, we could very easily lose ground in the US Senate. The numbers there are absolutely horrible for Democrats in 2018.

So, of course, you are correct about the GOP not going to impeach/remove. But something like that eventually happened to Nixon in the summer of 1974. Overnight, his support absolutely crumbled when the smoking gun tape was revealed. My point is that Drumpf has foolishly as much as admitted publically the same as the smoking gun tape.

I don't claim to be prescient on this but that is how things look at this time. However I think we very well may be in uncharted territory here. That's part of which that scares me the most.

My best regards.

Why does 45 get so freaked out when the pee pee tapes are brought up? Wonder if there is a connection here.
