Chelsea Clinton calls out Steve Bannon for 'fat shaming'

Trump adviser Steve Bannon reportedly said White House briefings were happening off-camera more frequently because "Sean got fatter" — and Chelsea Clinton won't stand for it.

On Tuesday morning, researcher Brian Klaas tweeted an Atlantic article about the dearth of White House briefings in the Trump administration. His post criticized a detail from the article – that Bannon, via text message to a reporter, explained that White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer's appearance was the reason why.

Clinton retweeted Klaas, attacking the White House.

Because she has the right to say whatever it is she wants to, but there are more pressing things to worry about than fat-shaming, like Bannon saying that he wants to de-construct this country, which would affect us ALL way more.

Has Chelsea made a statement about Bannon wanting to de-construct this country, or is it LESS worthy than talking about fat-shaming?

pretty much all of our politicians are no good and we need to start WAY over.

But that position is one neither I or we can afford to have at this time, is it!

Right now even the far left liberals like myself, the democratic socialist liberals, the tax rates need to almost be DOUBLE liberals, understand the situation we are in, and that we are a 2 party system, not a 3 party system.

That were it up to me I would never vote again for a Clinton or for that matter anyone with more than a million dollars in the bank, but it aint up to me, not now anyway.

What is up to me is I can do one of ONLY TWO THINGS each and every election day. I can vote against the fascist murderers, or I can not.

I choose to always vote against them.

Maybe I should say that fat-shaming just doesn't seem as important to ME as what treasonous tRumputin is doing TO this country, with aid and comfort from the GOP and the ruskies. You do realize that with the russian interference and with GOP-lead voter-suppression, that all 50 states maybe be affected the next time around, which means that we may not even get a fair chance to vote in 2018 and 2020?

No, I guess for some fat-shaming is WAY more important than ruskie interference is into our elections (Per Clint Watts, James Comey, John Brennan) or the fact that the GOP will be voter-suppressing Dems off the chain in 2018 and 2020, which will pretty much mean the end of the Dems as we know it. IF the thuglicans secure a few more State Houses, it's Koch Brothers, meet the Constitution, then what? Yes, the Supreme Court HAS made a few rulings that has made right 2 situations--one dealing with voter-suppression the other gerrymandering. However, what happens when the court starts ruling the other way (The court is has a 5-4 majority to the right) and allows other forms of voter-suppression that can and will be done to Dems all across this country? Like the GOP has any conscience when it comes to them having complete power, even if it means the ruskies will be screwing it's fellow citizens because they can meddle in our elections? You see that health care bill they're doing in the dark which they won't allow to be scored or seen by Dems or by anyone, right?

My bad, I guess fat-shaming is WAY more important than possibly losing health my care, being able to vote, or being voter-suppressed AGAIN courtesy of the treasonous GOP and treasonous tRumputin.

I mean, they are hypocritical and dangerous 100% of the time, so does that mean we can't pick any one issue in a day to poke at them for? You know, one today, and another one tomorrow? We have to snipe at each other because other issues didn't get noticed today by one person?

Christ on a trailer hitch, every Democrat in the country -- including every Clinton -- stays up nights worrying about the loss of healthcare and democracy.

But when Hillary talks about the Russians, she gets kicked in the teeth yet again for supposedly relitigating the election. I do hope you have been supporting Chelsea's mother in her calm, measured, and analytical post-election statements, and not indicating she should go gently into that good night.

Of course you have.

66. Believe me ....
Tue Jun 20, 2017, 05:55 PM
Jun 2017

I supported Hillary mightily (Phone banking in 2008/2016), and donated as well (And like many of us, I live on a very tight budget) during both of her runs as POTUS. In fact, I stayed working phone banks an extra 3 weeks during Summer/Fall 2016 even though I really needed oral surgery which I eventually got. I was in a great deal of pain phone-banking daily, up extremely early most mornings and not sleeping, but spoke with Hillary voters urging them to get out to vote for her/Kaine until I could no longer take the pain just days before Nov. 8th. So believe me, I don't suffer from Clinton derangement syndrome as some accuse me of--I respect, support and love Hillary for all she's accomplished and tried to accomplish--in the face of the misogyny, lies spewed and hatred ginned up against her over a 30 year plus period by the right, and even in some circumstances the so-called liberal media. After she took a much-needed break after being cheated out of the 45th presidency, Hillary's made her way back out on the scene to continue the fight for health care 25 years later--thank God & on her terms. To think that Dems ONLY get 10 hours per evil-McConnell to read through that POS, privileged, white male, right-winged, death bill is just .... I can't even wrap my head around it when I think about it. 1/6 of our economy being crafted by privileged, white, male, GOP senator in a dark in a closet named Mitch McConnell.

As for Chelsea, like I said, she has the right to tweet or speak on whatever her hearts desire. However, I said that in the scheme of things, a racist POS douche bag fat-shaming another GOP douche-bag doesn't mean as much to me as thinking about 23 million people (Myself included, even though I live in an extremely blue state:CA.) losing our health care. This health care situation has to be talked about 24/7, because it's literally a matter of life and death which could go down next week as McConnell rams it through, and I know you know that as I've read many of your posts here @ DU speaking about this country's health care debacle.

IF this POS bill is voted on and passed next week--just in time so thuglican Senators who ARE for this death bill can go home to enjoy THEIR 4th of July holiday--people will die as a result as early as 2018. Thankfully, there however "appears" to be a few Republican Senators (Mike Lee, deep red Utah, making face book videos/posts saying that he even hasn't seen the bill, and to call him if you've questions about it) who are having serious doubts about voting to pass a bill that McConnell crafted with lobbyists in a closet which we KNOW will mean money transferred from health care which means generous tax cuts going to the wealthiest/lobbyists who don't need that $$, and that's WHY talking about this death bill is more important for ME than even thinking about fat-shaming.

But fat-shaming doesn't mean one hill of beans to me at this time, especially not when my vote may not even count if the GOP has it's way with voter-suppression in 2018/2020, with aid and comfort from the russians who will have their interference/meddling down PAT come the next election cycles.

It's not like THIS crooked DOJ lead by lying AG beauguard would CARE about Dems being treated unfairly when it came to voting. We know the orange menace is in bed with and beholden TO the ruskies, putting our country and our democracy at risk we've never seen before.

I guess fat-shaming is more important than being voter-suppressed by the GOP or being able to vote fairly in my OWN country without having to worry about ruskie interference.
