This is nothing new.
There is only 1 way to move forward from tonight's loss.
Paper ballots, hand counted. Period.
Seriously, this woman, Handel, that won was SOS and was key in the implementation of this "new", improved voting system.
We are fucked until we stand up to the real "elephant" in the room.
Love you all and peace out.

(108,978 posts)the previous office holder won by 20 points, and the GOP nominee was well-known and running against a Dem who was unknown.

(111,261 posts)but it's a red, red district that kept sending Gingrich back to Washington.
Republicans are not congratulating themselves over this win, it was far too close.
Yeah, we were probably not going to win, even had the weather cooperated, which it definitely didn't. However, a race this close in a safe GOP district bodes ill for the party as a whole. Ossoff ran a clean, smart campaign. I hope we hear a lot more from him.
I honestly think Handel is a place holder at best, and will be primaried out as soon as the district finds a presentable male.
